It’s not hard to tell when an individual or an organization isn’t really interested in finding a way to end the Israeli occupation, no matter what they say about a “two-state solution.”

Virtually everyone–even many who are not seeking a truly equitable resolution to this conflict–agrees that a necessary pre-condition is the reunification of the Palestinian leadership. After all, some particular entity has to be able to represent Palestinians. So, when AIPAC makes it clear that they are going to object to a free and fair Palestinian election, it’s not hard to understand their motives.
