Despite the fact that the Israeli company NSO Group, and its infamous spying software, Pegasus, have been blacklisted in the United States, prominent DC lobbyists have been paid a great deal of money to try to win federal contracts for NSO Group. Most of those lobbyists are prominent corporate, conservative firms. But one, Bluelight Strategies, is a prominent pro-Israel firm, whose president, Steve Rabinowitz, is a well-connected Democratic Party operative.

In my latest piece for Mondoweiss, I look at this story and the background of Rabinowitz’s Democratic advocacy. Turns out, as is so often the case with ostensibly “liberal,” Democrat-affiliated pro-Israel organizations, there is a good deal of partnership with anti-Palestinian and neoconservative groups.
