Even the best media outlets are currently repeating the mantra that the US is trying to get Israel to limit Palestinian civilian casualties. It’s a half-truth. The Biden administration is not thrilled with the optics in Gaza, and they certainly do want to limit the fallout for Arab allies, especially Jordan and Egypt.
